GRUMETI RIVER CAMP

Grumeti River Camp is situated in a remote valley in the western corridor of the Serengeti National Park, just 50 km east of Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest lake. Flanked by two hillsides, this flamboyant camp overlooks a by-water of the Grumeti River and offers a comfortable haven from which to experience the truly wild pulse of Africa.

Accommodation
10 spacious safari tents under makuti (palm frond) canopies and the vibrancy of colourful interiors – including hand-blown Kenyan glassware, African cloth and local sculptured furnishings – bring alive the excitement of Africa. Each tented suite features a large bed made of Tanzanian cypress and comfortable deck furniture both in and outdoors. En suite bathrooms offer separate w.c.s and alfresco showers open to the sun and stars.

Facilities
At night, around a starlit banquet, you can regale one another with stories of the day’s game sightings. Savour gourmet meals in an open-air boma or nearby open-fronted dining area. Serving delicious Pan-African cuisine – all meals at Grumeti are prepared on traditional “jikos” (fires) and stone ovens. Private dinners may be arranged for special occasions.

KIRAWIRA CAMP WESTERN SERENGETI

Standing high on the bluff of a bush-cloaked ridge, commanding panoramic views over the endlessly rolling reaches and volcanic reefs of the Serengeti National Park, Kirawira Camp is the epitome of colonially-styled safari luxury.

Accommodation
The lodge offers 25 luxury tents, each with a private terrace and personal valet (5 king size and 20 twin bedded tents). KLEIN’S CAMP

Set on the edge of the Kuka Hills, Klein’s Camp is situated deep in the heart of the northern Serengeti National Park. Its 10,000 hectare private wildlife concession – leased from our Maasai landlords – is allotted for the exclusive use of the camp’s 20 guests, offering you the ultimate personal Tanzanian safari.

Accommodation
Ten intimate twin-bedded cottages made of rock and thatch with rich wooden floors and serene, classic interiors. As in days gone by, water for the shower of your en suite stone bathroom is warmed each evening by a roaring fire under the tank while you enjoy quiet sundowner drinks on your private veranda. Escorted by the quiet, regal Maasai, dinner waits in the lantern-lit dining room overlooking the valley below.

MBALAGETI CAMP

The Mbalageti Serengeti is situated on the Mwamveni hill and offers a breathtaking panorama view of the Serengeti Plain lands and the Mbalageti River.

Accommodation

SERENGETI SOPA LODGE

The lodge is set in the Nyarboro Hills, in the South West overlooking the plains of south-western Serengeti National Park. It is located approximately 315 km from Arusha town.

Accommodation
69 standard rooms, all with 2 queen size beds and tastefully furnished with local fabrics and pictures. One entering the room is a lounge with a mini bar. In the front is a verandah with 2 comfortable chairs and coffee table, with glass windows facing the vast Serengeti plains. The rooms have en-suite bathrooms and hairdryers.

4 spacious double storey suites, with a lounge area on the ground floor where one can dine, sit out on the balcony facing the Serengeti Plains.

Upstairs is the bedroom with a king size bed on a raised wooden platform, and on one side a bathtub facing the plains. There is an outside open shower as well.

OLAKIRA CAMP

Olakira Camp is a mobile tented camp that moves through the southern and central Serengeti, in areas of great wildlife concentration. From December to March, the camp is in the southern Serengeti, or Ndutu area, where lion and cheetah find perfect hunting grounds. The December to March period is the magical time when the Great Migration takes over the Ndutu plains to give birth to the next generation.

The camp moves up to the central Serengeti from June to November. During these months, you can sneak up on the animals from above with a balloon flight over the Serengeti from Olakira Camp.

Accommodation
6 spacious and comfortable tents with king-size or twin beds. Each tent has its own private verandah with an amazing view overlooking the Serengeti. Bathrooms are extremely comfortable for a mobile camp, with shower, wash basin and an environmentally friendly toilet.

Facilities
Central to the camp are two common tents that are open to the surrounding nature. One tent serves as a dining tent and the other one as a lounge, where drinks are served and safari stories are shared. Fantastic meals are served in the dining tent or in your own veranda.

SAYARI CAMP

Located in northern Serengeti, far from the tourist track, the area offers undisturbed exploration of the fantastic Serengeti National Park, with off-road driving still allowed in some parts. The stunning Mara River, filled with hippos and crocodiles, cuts through this land and hosts one of the greatest spectacles nature has to offer, the dramatic wildebeest crossings of the Mara River.

MBUZI MAWE TENTED CAMP

Named after the tiny Klipspringer antelopes (Mbuzi Mawe in Kiswahili), the camp lies at the epicenter of the Serengeti within easy reach of the prime wildlife theatres of Lobo, the Western Corridor of the Grumeti River, the southern grass plains, the Seronera Valley and the kopjes, or inselbergs, of Barafu, Gol, Maasai, Loliondo, Simba and Moru.

Accommodation
Accommodation comprises 16 spacious tents, each with 24-hour electricity, constant hot water, en-suite bathroom, dressing area, two double four-poster beds and a verandah with double sun bed.

The central lounge features a cocktail bar stocked with a discerning selection of beers, wines and spirits; and the stylish boutique showcases a tempting array of gifts, safari accessories, books and cultural crafts.

Hidden among the rocky outcrops or kopjes of the vast renowned Serengeti plains, is a camp that exudes a decadence reminiscent of old Africa. Located on the path of the world’s largest mammal migration, it is 395 km North West of Arusha.

Accommodation

Richly furnished throughout, the camp provides a haven of sumptuous indulgence among the raw splendor of the surrounding bush.  Its spacious tents have been carefully placed to provide privacy and blend into nature’s architecture, overlooking the Grumeti River and its resident hippos. Twenty lavish and spacious tents on wooden decks with either king or twin beds, comfortable leather armchairs, coffee and writing tables. Kusini is located in the South Central area of the Serengeti National Park. Part of Kusini’s charm is its remote and private location within the park borders. With no other camps in the near vicinity, Kusini offers exceptional and essentially private game viewing.

Accommodation is offered in twelve double tents, each attended by a personal butler, which are scattered around the main Kopje. Each tent has en-suite facilities and hot running water. Private balconies with comfortable furnishings extend in front of each unit.
