NAIROBI - ARUSHA - TARANGIRE - LAKE MANYARA - SERENGETI - ARUSHA - NAIROBI 10 Days * Combination Safari Lodge & Budget Camping Day 1: Nairobi - Arusha Arrive into Nairobi, where you are met and transferred to a shuttle bus to Arusha. You are met on arrival and transferred to your hotel for overnight. Mountain Village Lodge. (B&B) Day 2: Tarangire National Park Depart for Tarangire National Park for lunch. Afterwards, set out for an afternoon game drive in the park. Dinner and Overnight at the camp. (LD) Day 3: Tarangire National Park Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the park. Lesser kudu, eland, lion and gerenuk can be found in this beautiful park, noted for its multitude of baobab trees and its tree-climbing lions. Overnight at the camp. (BLD) Day 4: Lake Manyara After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park where you arrive in time for lunch. Take an afternoon game drive in this enchanting park where troops of baboons are often seen marching by the lush forest on the lakeside. Hippo and buffalo share the lake with some 350 species of birds, but the park is most famous for its tree-climbing lion that can be spotted draped over branches of acacia trees. Overnight at Kirurumu Tented Camp. (BLD) Days 5: Serengeti National Park After breakfast, drive to the Serengeti, arriving in time for lunch. After a rest period, embark on an afternoon game drive on the vast plains of the Seronera Valley. Overnight at the camp. (BLD) Day 6 & 7: Serengeti National Park Spend two days tracking game through the inspiring landscapes of the Serengeti. Return to the lodge for lunch. Witness the immensity of the park and the amazing numbers of hoofed animals (zebra, wildebeest, antelopes?) as well as predators it shelters during another exciting afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnights at the camp. (BLD) Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater After breakfast, proceed to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, passing Olduvai Gorge known as the ?berth of humanity? for the remains of prehistoric inhabitants that were unearthed there. Arrive in time for lunch, which is served at the lodge. The afternoon is at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. (BLD) Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater Descend into the crater for an extraordinary safari at the bottom of this collapsed volcano, where a variety of habitats shelter an amazing array of wildlife, surrounded by spectacular scenery. A picnic lunch will be taken in the caldera. Overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. (BLD) Day 10: Departure After breakfast, depart for Arusha where you have lunch. After lunch you are transferred by a shuttle bus back to Nairobi. Upon your arrival you are met and transferred to the International airport for your flight home or to a hotel for an overnight (on your own account). (BL) INCLUDES: Shuttle bus ride from Nairobi back to Nairobi as specified, accommodation, meals as specified, land transportation, safari activities, airport transfers and park fees.
