For those seeking a spectacular safari full of variety, this trip includes a basic camp on the rim of Africa 's Great Rift Valley and in the Serengeti. A traditional lodge is selected on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater. This is a great combination that will bring you close to Tanzania's incredibly diverse flora and fauna. Duration : 7 days Starts : Arusha Ends : Arusha Day of Departure : Any Day Transport : Vehicle 4 x 4 Vehicles Standard : Midrange Detailed Itinerary DAY 1: Lake Manyara National Park (Approx 2 hours) Depart from Arusha after lunch and drive to Lake Manyara. Spend the rest of the day lazing away preparing for game viewing and bird spotting at this great lake. Stay overnight at Kirurumu Tented Camp on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. Meals : DBB Accommodation : LAKE MANYARA WILDLIFE LODGE DAY 2-4: Serengeti National Park After breakfast you will take a morning drive to Serengeti. You will hopefully start seeing game well before you enter the reserve. Following a late lunch, the remainder of the day will be spent game viewing. Stay overnight at a Basic Camping Site including all meals. Meals : FB Accommodation : SERONERA CAMPSITE. DAY 5: Olduvai Gorge & Ngorongoro Crater ( Approx 5 hours) From the Serengeti you will take a drive via Olduvai Gorge to Ngorongoro Crater with a picnic lunch en route. Spend the afternoon relaxing and stay overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa / Wildlife Lodge including all meals. You are able to enjoy the view of the crater from your room. Meals : FB Accommodation : NGORONGORO SOPA / WILDLIFE LODGE. DAY 6: Ngorongoro Crater A highlight awaits you this morning as you depart by 4x4 to explore what is commonly known as the worlds largest wildlife zoo. There is always an abundance of wildlife roaming the crater floor, because of the permanent water source within. You return to the lodge for lunch, followed by an afternoon visit to a Masai village. Stay overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa / Wildlife Lodge including all meals. Meals : FB Accommodation : NGORONGORO SOPA / WILDLIFE LODGE. DAY 7 : Day of Departure After breakfast you will depart for Arusha and will be transferred to the airport for onward arrangements. Meals : B Package Includes: 4x4 vehicle with photo roof. Transfer services of an experienced driver guide. Game drives and crater tour. Accommodation and meals as specified in the itinerary. Our group of 3 Irish lads would like to thank Bobby and our exceptional guide Mike for giving us an amazing Safari experience.We decided to go with the 4 night/5 day Serrengetti lodge package which was great value for money. It was great to have the freedom to stop and go as we wanted. Our guide knew his way around very well and was the ultimate professional. You will definately need a minimum of 2 days in the Serrengetti to enjoy the experience. The Lodge looking out over the Ngorongoro crater is the perfect place to wind up the safari.We did our safari around mid June and were lucky enough to drive right into the migration. It has taken a long time to sort through my 1700 photos I took whilst in Tanzania - most of which I took in the Serengeti, Crater and Manyara areas. Now that I have completed that task I wanted to let you know just how fantastic my trip was on safari with Bobby Tours. I had an amazing time mainly due to our driver Julius who has the eyes of a hawk and can spot the face of a cheetah at 200m in a bush! I had to use binoculars and sure enough, I got to see a cheetah in the wild. We ended up seeing all the big 5 (including rhino in the crater) over the 3 days. The accommodation arranged at the Serena Lodges was awesome, with great views. I have been wanting to go on safari for decades and finally when I do get to go, the journey surpassed all expectations. I have brought back videos and stills of hyena and lion cubs walking past the 4x4 just a few feet away. I must have taken 100+ photos of the giraffes! Many thanks for an amazing experience.
